FAQ
Building Land Development
Residential and commercial buildings near railway lines, trams or motorways benefit from elastic decoupling to minimise vibrations. Properties in such areas are often offered at comparatively low prices, even in urban centres, but the areas are initially of little interest due to the noise problem. It is also not uncommon for brownfield sites to exist in zones of this type. With the right acoustic solution, areas with traffic-related structure-borne noise pollution can be used and brownfield sites can be revitalised - without any restrictions for the future residents or users of the buildings.
The building load is not transferred directly to the substrate, but distributed via an elastic layer. This layer absorbs vibrations and reduces the transmission of structure-borne noise into the building.
