To protect this sensitive area, the hotel opted for REGUPOL sound and drain 22 – a system specially developed for outdoor use that provides permanently effective impact sound insulation. The permanently elastic material structure significantly reduces sound transmission, allowing guests to use the terrace freely without disturbing the area below.
In addition to acoustic optimisation, the system scores points with its integrated drainage function. Rainwater is reliably drained away, preventing moisture damage and protecting the entire structure in the long term. This increases the durability of the terrace and ensures a permanently stable structure.
For the Sternwirt, the use of this solution represents a clear upgrade: the suite could be retained without any additional structural compromises and now offers maximum peace and exclusivity. At the same time, the roof terrace remains fully usable as an attractive outdoor area.
