New home for the South Westphalia Philharmonic Orchestra

New home for the South Westphalia Philharmonic Orchestra

The NRW state orchestra moved into its top-class rehearsal centre in mid-2023. The Haus der Musik in Siegen offers the musicians the best rehearsal conditions. In addition to the 400 m² rehearsal hall, which is perfectly harmonised in terms of acoustics, the cubic building offers twice as much space for rehearsal rooms. These were designed as room-in-room constructions to ensure quiet between the individual rooms and, of course, to prevent the transmission of sound into the rehearsal hall. This is where REGUPOL came into play with the products in the REGUFOAM vibration plus range.

In collaboration with the engineering firm Peutz Consult GmbH, which provided all the advice on building and room acoustics as well as the approval and ultimately also carried out the subsequent building acoustics measurements, REGUPOL developed a solution for tuning the room's mounting frequency to < 10 Hz.

More than 3500 pads of REGUFOAM vibration 150plus and 530 linear metres of strips of REGUFOAM vibration 190plus, REGUFOAM vibration 220plus, REGUFOAM vibration 270plus and REGUFOAM vibration 300plus were installed. The trouble-free, simultaneous use of the vocal rooms and the rehearsal hall is thus guaranteed and the orchestra enjoys optimum conditions.
